The challenge
Cabinet manufacturer was losing kitchen-design contracts because their batch shop could not economically run lot-size-of-1 custom doors. Scrap on small batches ran 9% and lead time was 4 weeks.
What we built
Homag nesting CNC fed by a vacuum lift, IMA Schelling edgebander, and a UR10e collaborative robot inserting hinges and pulls. A label-printer drives WIP routing; each panel carries its own job, so the shop runs lot-size-of-1 economically.
